What's your sign?

Lately, mine is stupid and lazy.

Doc had me on something called Cymbalta... it lasted about 2 weeks and I decided, with the urging of a couple of poeple, including my wife, to request a change. I was feeling worse... darker, more lethargic. I read on the web that some 18 yo girl actually committed suicide in the Lilly offices while taking Cymbalta during the drug trial. I don't know if that's true or not, but based on my experience, I can believe it.

I started on something called Lexapro today. We'll see. Also taking Sonata at night to help get to sleep. Damn expensive. $50 even with deductable. But it seems to work.

I wish I could tell the story of the last couple of months... I'll just say it's involved hospitals, day schools, counselors, phychiatrists, schocking revelations, and more daily stress than people should have to bear.

I'm fortunate that I have the financial means to get through this episode. I just wonder when or if it will ever end. I fear that alot of the heavy lifting is to come.

Still on meds? I went on the med-go-round several times. Effexor is the only one that really worked. Yucky side effects though. Cymbalta is supposed to be similar in action to Effexor in that they are snri whereas lexapro is an ssri. You probably already know all this stuff though. Most folks that take these meds tend to learn as much as they can about them. Cymbalta didn't do squat for me (even though it is similar to Effexor). Nor did Lexapro. But maybe your thing is that you just need serotonin tweaked and not norepiniphrine. So, maybe it will work for ya.
I've not gone through you blog yet, so maybe there's a post that says it didn't work or maybe that you don't need meds anymore. So, if you don't find my comments useful... you have the almighty delete button at your disposal. :)
