At least they turned and faced us a few times - which other performers hadn't done

When they played the UC in Chicago a couple of weeks ago, I heard they were sloppy and didn't sound good at all. Happily they sounded real good at the Super Bowl and even though I'm not a Stones fan, I enjoyed their performance greatly.

I thought the Stones looked old when I saw them 15 years ago !! I'm a big fan of their older stuff. 1965-1980. "Out of Our Heads" is probably the first rock album I ever heard.

They're not much to look at, and I never really was too into them, but the performance Sunday was pretty good. Never really though Jagger could sing, but alot of popular musicians can't either.

I can't believe you came to the the dump called Detroit for the superbowl!
I've lived in the area for the last five years. Not much to like about the place. I hear they cleaned up a few block radius around Ford Field and that's all the tourists really were able to see of the city. Glad you made it back OK ;-).

We stayed at some hotel about 20 minutes north of Detroit, can't remember the name of the place, but from what I could see, it was primarily very large estates in the area. Only went to Detroit Friday night for supper at the Rattlesnake, and then for the game. Pregame was at the Detroit Athletic Club, which is directly across from Ford Field - so I didn't need the kevlar nor did I see or do anything else in Detroit itself. Been there, done that.
